Ingredients from the label

INGREDIENTS: CONTAINS BIODEGRADABLE FABRIC SOFTENING AGENTS (CATIONIC).

Directions from Packaging

IMPORTANT: Do not pour Softener directly onto fabrics. For best results, always add Softener to the final rinse water. Do not add bleach, starch or other laundry products to the same rinse. This product is safe for all washable fabrics when used as directed. DIRECTIONS: AUTOMATIC WASHER FILL CAP TO LINE 5 FOR MEDIUM LOADS. FILL CAP TO THE TOP FOR LARGE LOADS. HAND WASHING FINE FABRICS: Add 1/3 capful to final rinse water. If using machine dispenser, pour in CVS® Concentrated Fabric Softener and dilute with water to keep dispenser clean. If spotting occurs, wet fabric, rub spot with a mild bar soap, rinse or rewash the item. Freezing temperatures may cause liquid fabric softeners to thicken. To use, dissolve recommended amount in one cup of warm water before using.

Warnings

CAUTION: Do not get in eyes. Do not take internally. FIRST AID: EYES - Flush with water 10-15 minutes. If irritation persists, call a physician. INTERNALLY - Give large amounts of water or milk. Call a physician. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. CVS® CONCENTRATED FABRIC SOFTENER IS NOT FOR USE ON CHILDREN'S SLEEPWEAR OR OTHER GARMENTS LABELED AS FLAME RESISTANT AS IT MAY REDUCE FLAME RESISTANCE. SOME COTTON-CONTAINING FLUFFIER FABRICS, LIKE FLEECE AND TERRY CLOTH, CAN BE MADE MORE FLAMMABLE BY USING LIQUID FABRIC SOFTENERS. THEREFORE, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ON CLOTHING MADE WITH THESE TYPES OF FABRICS. Do not reuse this container for storing beverages or other liquids.

Understanding scores

EWG provides information on cleaning product ingredients from the published scientific literature, to supplement incomplete data available from companies and the government. The ratings indicate the relative level of concern posed by exposure to the ingredients in this product - not the product itself - compared to other product formulations. The ratings reflect potential health hazards but do not account for the level of exposure or individual susceptibility, factors which determine actual health risks, if any.

HOW WE DETERMINE SCORES

Hazard score

The Healthy Cleaning ingredient hazard score, from A to F, reflects known and suspected hazards linked to the ingredients. The EWG VERIFIED® mark means a product meets EWG’s strictest criteria for transparency and health.
