Directions from Packaging

Sort laundry by color. Add 3/4 cup of bleach and detergent to wash water for regular size washers. Use 1-1/4 cups for extra-large washers. Add laundry and wash. For Best Results: Use bleach dispenser. Dilute 3/4 cup bleach in 1 quart water. Add to wash 5 minutes after wash cycle has begun. For heavily soiled loads use slightly more bleach. Do not use on acetate, leather, silk, spandex, wool, mohair and nonfast colors. Test all garments for colorfastness: Make a solution of 2 tablespoons bleach and 1/4 cup of water. Apply 1 drop to hidden part of seam. Blot dry after 1 minute. No color change means garment can be safely bleached. Kitchen and Bathroom: Clean and deodorize sinks, counter tops, showers, bathtubs, floors, vinyl and tile. Prewash, wipe or rinse surfaces with water. Clean with a solution of 3/4 cup bleach per gallon of water. Let stand 10 minutes, rinse and air dry. Toilet Bowls: Deodorize your toilet. Flush toilet. Pour 1/2 cup bleach into bowl. Swab with brush making sure to get under the rim. Let stand 10 minutes, flush. Do not use with bowl cleaners or any other household chemicals. Do not use product at full strength for cleaning surfaces. Always dilute in accordance with directions. For prolonged use wear rubber gloves.

Understanding scores

EWG provides information on cleaning product ingredients from the published scientific literature, to supplement incomplete data available from companies and the government. The ratings indicate the relative level of concern posed by exposure to the ingredients in this product - not the product itself - compared to other product formulations. The ratings reflect potential health hazards but do not account for the level of exposure or individual susceptibility, factors which determine actual health risks, if any.

HOW WE DETERMINE SCORES

Hazard score

The Healthy Cleaning ingredient hazard score, from A to F, reflects known and suspected hazards linked to the ingredients. The EWG VERIFIED® mark means a product meets EWG’s strictest criteria for transparency and health.
