Dibromoacetic acid

City of Mountlake Terrace

NOTE: City of Mountlake Terrace purchases water from Alderwood Water District which is required to test for dibromoacetic acid. Sample information shown below was taken by Alderwood Water District.

Dibromoacetic acid, one of the group of five haloacetic acids regulated by federal standards, is formed when chlorine or other disinfectants are used to treat drinking water.
