Alexandra Bookis

Alexandra Bookis leads efforts to build relationships with organizations, companies and community leaders in support of EWG’s policy work on food, farming, water and chemical safety. She has managed government affairs for a national nonprofit organization advocating for more equitable and sustainable food systems, advanced public health policy as a staffer in the New York City government and conducted environmental and agro-economic research. Alexandra holds a master’s degree from New York University and a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University. A classically trained ballet dancer, Alexandra continues to dance in Washington, D.C., where she also enjoys photography, playing soccer and hiking with her rescue dog.
