Jessica Hernandez
Jessica Hernandez leads EWG’s chemical policy priorities in D.C. including PFAS and food chemicals, among other issues, and works with the Government Affairs team on legislative analysis and outreach to Capitol Hill, the White House, and federal agencies. Before joining EWG, she worked in the Senate as the lead energy and environmental advisor to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.). Hernandez also previously worked in the House of Representatives for Rep. Albio Sires (D-N.J.) as a legislative assistant. She holds bachelor’s degrees in both economics and political science from Quinnipiac University.
